Hindsight is 20/20 and we could play this game all day long with ANY NFL team. But, I don't think we would have made the playoffs this year without CMC. His production was impressive, but it goes way beyond that. He opened up a lot for our offense. When you pair him with real NFL receivers and RB who can get some tough yards between the tackles, our offense really has a chance to take off.

If all of us could only put those Pro Bowlers we missed on onto our rosters, we'd be doing ok.

I get it man, you don't like Gettleman. That's perfectly within your right. All I'm saying is there is a lot of evidence that CMC was a JR pick. 

Butler was KK insurance and Shaq would be starting if TD wasn't an animal still. You could make an argument those were two positions were we shouldn't have used a first round pick on and I would agree.

Did he really play any better then Addison this year?

Long term he might be a very good player but people forget we had just signed Addison to a long term deal.  I have n doubts how much the staff would have played him.

i still think CMC was a win now type of a pick by the front office.  A player that the staff felt was different then anything we had on the roster or could change how we played.   

In some ways it felt like the type of pick that coaches “bang on the table” for.  

Looking back if we hadn’t drafted CMC I still don’t think Barnett would have or should have been the pick with Lattimore still on the board.  Here again I’m sure some people started to convince themselves that our two young CBs would continue to improve and that frees you up to go a different direction in the first.

i hate the BPA vs Need argument but in this case it does seem in play.
