Loved Gman but a major issue I had with him was that he favored fewer picks/not trading down philosophy. This has caused us to become an old team. We had the NFL's 2nd oldest roster at the start of the season.

Yeah, hard to see where this team isn't about to experience a big turnover in the roster due to aging personnel.

There have been estimates the franchise is valued at somewhere between two and two and a half billion.

I kinda wonder what the NFL would say if Richardson tried to sell it to a buddy at a discount when someone else offered more.

Somehow, JR doesn't strike me as a person willing to pass up several hundred million dollars in a business deal under any circumstances.

Understood, but you also have to remember just how totally obsessed Richardson is with his legacy.

Given that he's up there in years, I actually could see him being more interested in leaving his stamp on the team's future than in making money that he can't take with him.

Hopefully, JR's family is keeping a close eye on him.  I'm not sure he is still capable of making the best decisions, due to his age and health.   Might explain his office indiscretions as well.

I'm not joking.

Oh, it's definitely no joke. I've wondered about that too. I mean it's not like anything that he's done for the past year or so screams "sound mind".

It would be a shame to think that important decisions were being made by someone who wasn't fully competent, but that's far from unprecedented. The Raiders were stuck in that spot for several years.

    • At this point the Tepper's seem to be leading you around by the nose based on how much time you spend carrying water for them so I'm not surprised you're struggling. We are the only team who saw fit to install Andy Dalton with his zero career playoff wins as a culture cornerstone and a key mentor. Even the putrid Saints wanted no parts of that. Truth hurts 🤷‍♂️
    • They have drafted two QB's since they took Hurts in the 2020 Draft. Tanner McKee(6th - 2023) and Kyle McCord(6th - 2025). In that span we have drafted Bryce Young(1st - 2023) and Matt Corral(3rd - 2022). Technically, we have invested significantly higher draft capital on QB's(albeit one less than they). It's not the investement that is the issue, it's the results. Corral was literally not a rosterable player with a THIRD ROUND PICK. We gave up a king's ransom for Bryce to basically get Davis Mills results(so far).
    • No QB from the draft or free agency was going to change this being a losing season for us. I mean we’re rebuilding, everything we’re doing is meant to be for winning tomorrow.
