Cam Turner leaving?

Looks like we might be losing a Turner family member.

We're about to embark on so many changes, I think this ranks near the bottom...

A lot of teams don't necessarily have an assistant quarterback coach.  We seem to use it as an "intern" type position. 

Scott Turner held the position a few years ago,  Maybe Cam was hoping for the job himself or didn't necessarily wanna be assistant to his cousin. Or maybe he just really likes working with Wilks or likes it better in Arizona. Who can say?

i expect he'd be replaced with someone young that none of us have ever heard of.

Norv does have another son.

They already have a QB coach in Byron Leftwich.  Leftwich was promoted from Assistant QB Coach when the QB Coach was reassigned to runningbacks, after which he then bolted for the same position in Cleveland (but with an associate head coach title).

My first guess would be Turner's backfilling Leftwich's old job.

And Cam was helping coach Cam

Cameron Turner is Ron Turner's son, Norv's nephew. Ron has a "consultant" role.  Might make sense to just make him the assistant QB coach (replacing his son, assisting his nephew).

Voth confirms Cam's departure, and says Ron is leaving too.

So instead of four Turner coaches, we only have two.

All those family reunion jokes are now void.
