Looking for an action movie?

How about one starring...

- Sylvester Stallone (who also wrote and directed)

- Jason Statham

- Jet Li

- Mickey Rourke

With other roles played by...

- Eric Roberts

- Dolph Lundgren

- Randy Couture

- Steve Austin

- Terry Crews

And appearances by...

- Bruce Willis

- Arnold Schwarzenegger

- Danny Trejo

- Gary Daniels

All that adds up to The Expendables, a movie slated for 2010 and for which a trailer can be seen on First Showing (link)

You know, I think this one might just have some action in it :sosp:

I'd see this simply for the casting. Throw in a few thousand explosions, I'm sold!

I like Statham, especially from "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", but I have to admit his transporter "persona" is getting a little old. He needs to change it up a little so he's not quite so one-dimensional, a la Nick Cage.

he was awesome in the Bank Job...he has his moments...just needs to stay away from the gay transporter and crank movies.

Anyone seen it Blood and Bone? A direct to DVD fighting movie starring Michael Jai White (aka Spawn, aka Gamble).

Normally I would skip it, but I've actually heard it's decent for a fighting movie. IMDB says that it should have gone to the theaters and "Fighting" with Channing Tatum should have been d2dvd. Anyway, what made me think of it was it has UFC personalities in supporting roles as well

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
