Rosario questionable; passing attack halted?

Since Rosario is questionable, who does Jake look to in 3rd and long situations? Rosario is the only reciever who has bailed us out more times than not in these situations this season. We all know Smitty gets blanketed on 3rd and long, so Jake tends to look elsewhere now.

Does Barnidge get activated or do we hope King, Moose and Moore step up?

King is more than capable but Barnidge who hasn't gotten work is our fastest TE. Still if Rosario is questionable there is 50% chance he will play. I would like to see Moore and Jarrett get a few throws as well.

I think Rosario and King do a good job at TE but I really dont see why Barnidge dose not get more playing time. His blocking and his speed are both very good. I am not really sure about his hands because they have not thrown his way this year at all.

not offense intended toward the original poster....I just found the title funny. Passing attack halted? Feels like we have been in neutral this entire season thus far in regards to the passing attack....I can't imagine anything hampering it more.

I'm still waiting for them to get Goodson involved in the passing game. The guy played some slot receiver in college, so I don't see why can't can't draw up a couple of plays for him. Then again, maybe Fox is a bit nervous about his ball security. That does seem to be a legitimate concern with him.

No offense taken. WHEN the passing attack starts to get a pulse is usually when Jake takes serveal shots to the TEs. King is reliable most of the time, but Rosario has been money when the ball has been thrown his way.

Dante has a twisted ankle and I doubt he'll have the push off to get seperation even if he does play. Find it laughable if you wish, but right now, Rosaio is our #2 weapon in the passing attack behind Smitty and he doesn't have to face double/triple teams in 3rd and long situations..

Goodson has been out since he had the concussion. I hope he can play soon. He is weapon we can develop.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
