Ownership Hunt: Michael Rubin's Team Consists Of Joseph Tsai, Diddy, Steph Curry, And Local Investors

interesting...

Personally, I wouldn't mind Michael Rubin being the owner. He's been particularly well-liked by fanbases and players for those he's worked with. He knows how to connect with modern culture and the such.

Interesting that Diddy may be a part of this as well. Been a while since I've last heard his name, but I was wondering what he's been up to. Makes sense he'd agree to pair up with a guy like Rubin in the end.

Reps for Rubin and Diddy didn’t comment. But a source close to Combs — who is said to be worth more than $820 million thanks to deals with Diageo’s Ciroc and a partnership with DeLeon tequila — told us, “Sean is absolutely serious about being in on the deal to buy the Panthers. This team is something he truly believes in.”

Sources say Rubin, who owns $4.5 billion online sportswear retailer Fanatics, is set on buying the Panthers, which was put up for sale in December after the team’s owner Jerry Richardson was accused of workplace misconduct.

Rubin — a close friend of Patriots owner Bob Kraftand many pro-athletes — is set to submit a bid for the Panthers, we’re told, and Tsai is on board to join an impressive ownership consortium, which they hope could yet include sports figures such as Steph Curry and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Tsai is already a 49 percent owner of the Brooklyn Nets.

A source told Page Six, “Rubin is putting a powerful bid for the Carolina Panthers. Under the bid, Rubin, would be the majority owner, with Tsai just behind. But Rubin also hopes to put together an incredibly diverse minority ownership team as part of his bid. He has been talking to Steph Curry and Diddy as minority owners. The initial bids are due tomorrow, the ownership structure can be declared at a later date.”

Sabates said he doesn't know if he'll keep it in Charlotte. I for one do not want some dude coming in here and taking the team out of Charlotte after a few years. And with the group of people he has on board, it wouldn't shock me if that would happen.

I don't know why any majority owner would want that loudmouth in his ownership group.

Rubin and Tsai alone would be lovely, but I guess they're not willing to put up that much.

The idea of Diddy is funny, but yeahhhhh not sure I want him doing anymore Instagram videos spouting off about the North Carolina Panthers and seemingly not knowing Cam Newton is our QB.

Diddy Haters were you at?

Games going to be lit with Diddy in the skybox!

Yeh, because that turned out so great when Bob Johnson owned the Bobcats! Not everyone listens to Power 98

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
