So we are back up to 13.

ugh that is an ugly ugly contract if he doesn’t perform. Especially with all our core coming up to contracts in the next few years besides Turner. When will Hurney quit making these stupid stupid backloaded contracts.

The contract is very easy to get out of after year 1.

Not really, can be cut in 2019 off season and save over 3m in cap. Can be cut in 2020 off season and save 7m.

or hopefully restructured next year for an extension and cap relief...

The number of people in the Breeland signing thread that freaked out over what they thought was a 8m per year cap hit are even more hilarious now.

If you read the OP, he only has 1m in guaranteed money next season. 0 dollars guaranteed year 3. We can cut him after year 1 and only eat 1m. Or cut him after year 2 and not have any dead money.

Still has his signing bonus and workout bonus plus others. His dead cap hit next off-season is 6.6m but his total cap hit is 9.7. So he could be cut if he is horrible and the team save money on a normal cut.

The more we see of autonomous, non-JR-Hurney, the more I'm convinced that I was right and that JR is the one responsible for the horrible contracts in Hurney's first tenure.

I always thought that most of us believed that 2010 was all JR and Hurney was just his patsy.
