One of the top defensive ends in the world, former Panther, destroying Arena League in real time

Wait, this isn't Arena League. This is more like D3 arena football. Did you know we had 36 NC teams?

Hardy is tearing it up against nobodies. Way to get a boner over that. Hell, Armanti Edwards is at least playing in the CFL, Hardy couldn't even get that.

Says the franchise that replaced a 1st team All-Pro with a guy right out of Samford.

what does this have to do with anything?  it doesn't matter if the panthers replaced josh norman with me, that's still a podunk small potatoes league.

And Hardy made the highest paid OL in the NFL, Nate Solder, look like he belonged in the banana league, after over a year off.

welcome to non-sequitur hour

didn't the cowboys lose that game like 30-6 or something.  and i'm going off memory here but i think he had two sacks in that game which was literally one third of his total for the entire season.

e: just checked and all of that is correct.  damn i have a great memory.

So because Brandon Weeden was the QB for a God-awful Cowboys team, that means...what exactly?

It does NOT mean that Hardy is not one of the top DE’s in the world, that his not playing in the NFL is perhaps the most hypocritical injustice of all time, and that the Carolina Panthers still have a need at DE that a 29 year old Hardy would obviously fill.

the ship has sailed and you need to get over it.  for my part i'm perfectly willing to acknowledge that greg hardy is annihilating dudes who will be bagging groceries this time next year and had a great half of football in a 30-6 home loss three years ago.

e: also at least greg hardy was on the field when that game happened which makes the score more relevant than you mumbling some poo about josh norman a few pages back when someone accurately pointed out that greg hardy is beasting against pizza hut delivery drivers

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
