who is your source?

I confess.  I told him that.

Seriously, it makes perfect sense.  We are OK at CB (not great, but better), lotta Safeties in second and third, and the G thing is up in the air.  No early RB.  No backup TE....The only way (and I have said this multiple times) to improve the WR corps is to get a stud in the first round.

I am not a big Kirk fan--unless we trade  back--but I would take the other 2.

I'd argue we are just as 'ok' at WR as we are at CB. Then it comes down to what is more important, your CB3 or your WR3? In our offence, I'd lean towards CB3. Also, I think the 3rd best CB in this draft is much better overall than the 3rd best WR. I see more value in picking a CB this year knowing CBs 1-5 all can probably make a big impact for us this year. However, my vote is still to go with either Daniels or Ragnow so we solidify the LG this year and C position for years to come.

we are NOT OK at CB & much better off at WR...we also need OL help bad

I am pretty sure that your OPINION is wrong.  Compare our WR corps to the rest of the league.  Smith?  a journeyman with below average numbers and hands.  Wright? grabbed a whopping 19 balls last year. Samuel?  Fragile so far, may not be ready.

Cockrell had a strong year last year and Bradberry was victimized by blitzing too much.  You can upgrade CB in the second or third--but WR must be done in the first.

But how you call us "much better off" at WR---we lost Benjamin and replaced him with a deep threat and a blocking slot who averaged a catch a game for 10 yards?

I disagree with your assessment.

I'm fine with Ridley or Moore in the first, but not Kirk.  He's a second rounder.

I'm fine with a CB like Oliver or Alexander, but don't see value in a 1st round S.

WR, CB or G/C .

And though it's not popular I have no issues with trading our #24 for 2 number twos if they are in the top 40.  We simply have that many holes to fill.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
