A person is only as smart as their ability to translate their thoughts into words. One's ability to effect a malleable or abstract idea into language is surely our best way of gauging such intelligence.

That need would vary from position to position.

It also speaks to how lazy someone is.

Yeh,.....we should look for dumb players instead of smart ones.

They are drafted to LEAD,... not to READ

Cancel all community events, tell them to avoid time with the media no matter what they are fined,...

just tell them tackle the black and gold uniforms,...

No, that is the problem with this team is the conservative approach. Looking for good character players only. LOL HOW HAS THAT WORKED OUT IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS!? That's why we don't take as many players from the SEC. Notice how many guys we get from Big Ten schools. We need to get away from looking for only good character guys.

It will take time to see how these selections pan out. One thing to keep in mind is that despite the one blogger who raved about Oliver he still the 8th CB taken.  NFL scouts certainly viewed him differently. We weren't the only team who valued him lower than the blog scout. Lets be honest. That one guy is the reason everyone knows Oliver's name so well.

If Brett Kollmann had made a video of Rashaan Gaulden, he would have inevitably talked him up as a low first/high second round guy and the Huddle would have erupted in excitement about the pick.

If their goal is to specifically beat the Saints I am ok with that.  I feel good about our chances against the rest of NFC but we need to find a way to get past New Orleans.

I think it's NO and eagles they threw the ball all over the Pats and us but yea NO should of beaten Minny.

Exaclty

Imagine if every scout made videos like that guy. There would be hundreds of differing opinions. His productions are entertaining for fans and can sound convincing but it's just one guy who isn't even an actual scout. His resume is impressive in production and broadcasting but nothing related to the actual sport.

See that right there is what this franchise needs to get away from. While it's something nice if a guy is a"well spoken"it should not have any bearing on your opinion on him as a football player. I think a lot of people love that whole idea about the panthers and how we only draft good ole boys. I think that way of thinking has hindered this franchise since inception. Football players are people and are flawed like the rest of us. I think looking for well spoken guys is why we passed on players like Guice and Harrison and ended up with Gaulden.

The point that he is smart and well spoken is a great quality for a player that you draft to be a communicator.  A team consist of various parts.  You need guys who are smart enough to understand the game plan from week to week and well spoken enough to verbally lead the team play to play.  The fact that he is versitle and an able willing tackler on top of those traits are the foundation of which they hope to develop.  I think he has a chance to be a player.

Washington wants more man press coverage!!!! He ain’t a pussy like Rivera and Wilks. Always wondered why Wilks was promoted before Washington.

If only we had these balls on the offensive side.

ATL would have beaten Philly if Neal didn’t miss the easy interception at the end of the 1st half.

Are we seriously debating losing the Superbowl and 4 playoff appearances over 5 years because we draft guys that can tie their shoes, put more than 4 words together without sounding like Forest Gump, and who do good things for the community like spending time with high school kids, setting up charities and others?
