Another profile of Navarro (with an interesting quote)

Like I said I defended Shula because he was our OC and still believe much of the criticism is undeserved but that is all I will say.

But lets be real here. You used to tout yourself as the voice of reason but the last 6 months it has been tinfoil hat conspiracies and constant negativity of Richardson, Hurney and even Rivera at times. I don't seeing you as having the objectivity at this point to be credible when it comes to your analysis of what is going on. You seem good with the bare facts but your analyses range from spot on to off the wall.

Yeah, no idea why anybody would be negative about Jerry Richardson :eyeroll:

You going to start defending him too? Is it your thing now to defend unpopular people? Is that what you like to do to get attention?

Cool. Do it elsewhere.  There are more interesting things to do in here than go back and forth with you.

I don't need to defend Richardson given he is gone as well. I don't agree with what he said or did. Still I don't think it is my job to pass judgement or go on diatribes trashing people like you apparently do. So if we end up on opposite sides and I am accused of defending folks from undeserved criticism like I think Hurney gets from you among others, I am guilty as charged. Seems as we both get older you are more opinioned and negative while I take a more positive and measured approach. I guess life experiences just shape us differently.

BTW who determined you to be the thread police and determine what is allowed or not allowed in any thread? If nothing else it is the offseason and there are few rules.

FYI: I'm not gonna bother reading that because I'm bored with you.

(and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who takes this approach with your posts)

Originally wanted Tepper and was okay if it was Navarro.  As time has passed and we learn more about Navarro I think I have flipped my order of preference.  The simple good sense to avoid involvement with Felix Sabates is an indicator of sound judgment.

I think a lot of people have done that.

The news that Tepper had lowballed the bid turned a lot of people off.

That's okay just another example of wasted pearls before swine. As for others that is fine to read or not. Unlike you my self esteem doesn't depend of what posters on a message board think. Some of us have real lives while others spend all day on the huddle.

I don't really care who gets it, as long as they leave the team and the stadium where  its at.  As far as one being a better person than the other, no real way to tell.  Public perceptions are usually wrong.

Often, but in this case I don't think so.

Our fellow poster Maul Claw has a friend who has experience with Navarro. His take is that what you see is pretty much what you get.

I want Navarro to own the team so bad.  But I wouldn't put Hurney down.  I actually am on board with most of the moves so far.  I'm excited about this offense.

Said it elsewhere: I'm not sure it matters.

The league wants all memory of Jerry Richardson to disappear. Combine that with the SI accuser's claim that front office executives knew about and even witnessed Richardson's behavior but did nothing, and it doesn't look good for anybody that's in the front office right now.

Heck, the league already tried to get the team to dump Hurney once. Yes that was related to an incident that was later cleared up but the NFL didn't really care to wait for the results.

My guess: They're gonna quietly encourage whoever the new owner is to look at a minority GM, maybe even one of the candidates we had before.

Understood.  On the other hand, My mom's cousin's aunt's brother twice removed, told me that he had a friend who worked with Tepper and Tepper goes undercover feeding homeless gypsies on the weekend.

Granted :)

I find Maul Claw's story believable. He shared with me a little more detail than he has publicly, and nothing sounded like a stretch.

Whether he chooses to share any more than that in the forum is of course up to him.
