The league wants all memory of Jerry Richardson to disappear. Combine that with the SI accuser's claim that front office executives knew about and even witnessed Richardson's behavior but did nothing, and it doesn't look good for anybody that's in the front office right now.

Heck, the league already tried to get the team to dump Hurney once. Yes that was related to an incident that was later cleared up but the NFL didn't really care to wait for the results.

My guess: They're gonna quietly encourage whoever the new owner is to look at a minority GM.

It's a shame, but I get it.  All we can do is hope for the best honestly, and I won't lie I was disappointed with the "GM search," but I've (surprisingly) appreciated the job Hurney has done second time around.

I like what I've seen, but there have been a lot of offseasons where I liked what I saw... until the season started.

Right now nothing about the ownership process feels positive. It's not negative or bad, just not positive or uplifting and it has colored my perception of this off season. 

I would prefer Navarro too because of the public persona he has but I really just want it done and over with because it doesn't feel like we're building towards anything that will result in winning. It feels like we're simply treading water, dogie paddling in circles.

I think all of us are pretty much ready for it to be done.

We got our hopes up when it looked like it was about to be over.  And yeah, it still could be put to vote at the May meetings, but a lot of folks don't think so.

It's discouraging.
