Because this was a kid and he laughed it off, it's no big deal. But adult fans that insult and taunt players are scum and should be banned from attending games. I think the NBA is the worst in this regard, maybe because the fans are so close to the court. I would love to see some of these idiots spew their insults to athletes out on the street, one on one. Their cojones would shrivel up when they weren't in the anonymity of a crowd.

At first I thought this was a poor move by Cam and he should have just ignored the kid, like he probably ignores hecklers all the time.

But then I started to think about how Cam interacts with kids at his 7 on 7 camps. You see video of him out there and he is just as engaged as any coach or player on the field. He doesn't act like any other former NFL MVP would act. He acts like just another football player. In that context, I have no trouble at all with Cam giving it back to some kid talking smack. That's what football players do in their element, and Cam is cool enough to not act above it.
