Hiding Profile Pics

It's not necessarily just NSFW but also NSFH (as in home).

I have more privacy in my office than at home where I have kids who love to come see what I'm looking at on my computer or phone...

lol just saw you changed your member title.

for those who didn't see earlier, if you see an offending avatar, just use the ignore option on that member, and you won't see them at all.

I enjoy looking at the Huddle sometimes while I'm at work, as I'm sure a lot of us do, but some people have NSFW profile pics (TheSpecialJuan comes to mind) and I can't figure out how to hide them so I can view content without having to display these NSFW profile pics. Is there a solution to this problem or do I just stop visiting the Huddle at work?

I know this isn't about the Panthers, but I didn't know where else to put it.

Just don’t do it at work. Use your phone. I don’t know where you work but a wise assumption is that your company’s IT people are monitoring your web traffic. I never browse the huddle, Reddit/subreddits, or inside Carolina on a work computer. It’s not worth it and a stupid, avoidable reason to get in trouble. You probably don’t want your company to know that you are spending your work time browsing a message board or YouTube.

This guy I used to work with, I would always walk by his desk and he would usually be on a NYGiants or Cuse b-ball forum and I’m surprised no one ever said anything to him because I’m sure those forums are ripe with NSFW material.

Honestly they should have been gone. The risque avatars are the last remnants of the days of pedos like Grits and Jangler plastering their poo all over the huddle. Be done with it.

Man Grits was probably the worst poster in the history of this forum - and there have been some awful ones in the 10+ years I’ve been posting here and being involved with the huddle community. I remember when you used to be able to post hardcore porn here, back when I was living in a college dorm and had The lightning fast internet. I feel like PanthersHuddle might have been the first ever website that I saw a hardcore porn .gif many years ago. This is back when the only moderators were like Igo, Cor, and I think there were two seahawk fans that were moderators. Between this and the old ESPN message boards and the Party In College message boards, there was a lot of time wasted when I was a kid. This was right before Facebook took off.

disagree with everyone telling you to log off at work. your boss is stealing your labor and likely your wages, waste as much time as you can to balance it out.

Gonna get fired real quick, do your job.

For me it’s get better at my job so eventually I can be the boss.

Do not browse this on your works network.  It is all tracked and with some inappropriate postings on here, whether you agree with it or not, it is associated with you.

If you are viewing on your phone, just shut of retrieving images on your browser.  Its faster, uses less data, and saves the embarrassment of something inappropriate.

oh come on, it's not that bad

I mean those are some nice melons @TheSpecialJuan dont get me wrong, I get you, I like them too. But I also come across situations where I have to scroll past your posts to conceal the sad excuse of a bathing suit covering a nice rack that can only draw unwanted attention from unsuspecting by-passers.

If that is you in the avatar, or your girl, I applaud you and take everything back though.

The Huddle used to have some options for whether you viewed signatures and avatars. I don't know if the current version still has them.

They'd be in the settings if they were still there, but not necessarily in the mobile version.

Whenever you see a signature, there is an "x" on the right side of it. When you click it, you can hide that particular signature, or all of them. So since a while ago, I've been disabling signatures that I find dumb, annoying, inappropriate or infested with gifs slowing down the page load. As of now, signatures are not a problem for me anymore.
