LaCanfora predicts Moore as Rookie of the Year

He's the literally the only first round talent in our entire receiving room, people really shouldn't be doubting the amount touches he'll get. He will get plenty of opportunities, early and often, just like we did with CMC last year. The only thing limiting the number of touches he'll get is what he does with them.

Smith has looked baaaad but Ron will keep him on the field until he gets hurt just because he's a "vet"

Smith always looks bad in preseason games- 3 career catches. Quit paying attention to games that don't count.

I'd bet on Barkley or Darnold for OROY, but it's nice to see Moore get mentioned.

I just hope he'll be in the conversation and that he gets opportunities over Smith.  We don't know how he's been performing in practice and his chemistry with Cam.  Preseason games are tough to gauge, because he doesn't work much with the second or third team QBs.

for a WR to get OROY, they probably have to put up like 1,200 yards and 10+ TDs

award pretty much dominated by QBs/RBs.

if I am putting money on someone, Barkley is slated for the volume/opportunity to win it this year.

I don't read too much into preseason games some time.  Too much is made of it.

You think Cam looked like he was going to win ROY his first preseason?  You think Torrey Smith isn't getting more balls come week 1?

Preseason matters to a degree, it also tells you very little at the same time.

Week 3 we can start talking about which WRs look the part.

The learning curve for a rookie quarterback is a lot steeper than for any other position.

And apparently hasnt grasped everything they've threw at him. Theyve limited the play book to try and bet him up to speed. If he can't get it together, his reps will likely be limited early.

i think he'll be a star, but right now he doesn't seem ready to be in our top 3 WRs

For now, he's hopefully grasped that you don't need to go 100mph in a work zone...or anywhere.

He has been learning all 3 receiver positions. Not sure what you are talking about. Do you have a source?

my point was merely Cam looked like poop in the preseason.

Week 1 - set NFL records

Week 2 set more

then he rewrote the entire freaking book that season for a rookie QB at the time.

Nothing about his preseason alluded to that happening.

Moore didn't set the world on fire in preseason.  Nobody was talking about Samuel being easily better all training camp...or after the first preseason game.   We still don't know who will emerge as the dude.  Preseason most likely doesn't tell that story is all.

He WAS learning all three. The staff limited the playbook after he seemed to be over thinking things. Was reported a couple weeks ago???
