We'll see in the long run. Ridley is the better player right now by leaps and bounds. I expected Ridley to be better early on due to his age and experience in a real offense, but I didn't expect Moore to be virtually nonexistent.

Fair, although I still think its unfair to compare him to a guy benafiting from playing opposite Julio Jones in a pass first offense.

If you take away the narrative that Rivera is somehow holding him back I think it's what they said after we drafted him. He doesn't understand the route tree and struggles with a NFL offense. Hopefully it will be quick catch up because we don't need a project at WR.

If our DC can devise a plan to keep Green in check (say 6/85/1 TD), and make Dalton uncomfortable with hurries and hits, we win 31-13.

(Otherwise, we win 31-21:tongue:)

Not sure if it's approved to quote yourself:tongue:, but 31-21 WAS the final score, guys.  Go, Panthers!

Wow!  Some of you guys amaze me.

Here we win a game so many of you expected we'd lose, and (I haven't caught up with all these 135+ posts, and won't now) I see it's been hijacked to talk about Calvin Ridley.

Seems to me if Panther fans can't stick to rooting for, and celebrating a win with, OUR TEAM, then maybe you ought to be fans of some other team.  I hate Debbie Downers.  You know who you are...

Nice presser.  Very articulate and deflective of praise.  I'm enormously happy to have CMC as a Panther.  14 receptions one week, then 28 carries and 184 ground yds the next.  How's a DC gonna prepare for him in the future?

This isn't man love, but simply an observation: aren't CMC and Luke a lot similar -- movie star looks, modest and unassuming, well-spoken, and supremely talented at the positions they play?  I'm pumped to have them on our team.

But would he fit our defense?

Yes, he's a great player, but does he fit the scheme that Ron runs?

You're asking how a safety would fit into a defensive scheme that doesn't involve safeties?

That's an exaggeration of course, but in reality I don't believe we're in the running for Earl Thomas anyway..

    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
