Containment has been a big issue the last two weeks, both Ryan and dalton made huge plays outside the pocket the last two games. Gotta clean that up ASAP

Getting Thomas Davis back will help this a lot. He might be an old Panther and a bit slower of step, but he can read and react with the best of them. He also helps keep the D-line on task and accountable. I bet that we'll see more out of Pep when TD comes back.

...is ranked 19th in the league in yards  allowed.  They were again suspect yesterday but stepped up when it was needed the most.  Going forward, we need to figure out how to put more pressure on the QB and address the safety position!   I like that they started to blitz more in the second half, we should see more of that.

The past couple years our D has gotten off to a slow start the first couple of games if memory serves me correct.  I'm not worried about our D as long as Luke is out there and they'll end up being a top 10 defense like they are just about every year.

We just need to keep creating turnovers. Jackson’s ints May not have been crazy route jumpers but last year we weren’t even grabbing the gimme ints for most of the season. If we can get the gimme turnovers more will follow. If we can keep the offense in turnovers and Cam continues to protect the football, we will win games easily.

I'd like to see our D's stats by quarter.  Seems like we really clamp down in the 2nd half.  First half is where a lot of our issues are.

Helps a lot when your second half offense looks like an actual pro offense rather than an amateur sloth.

Atlanta was without their starting RB and still ran for over 100 yards for the first time in 23 games or something. Cincy was without their starting RB and AJ Green went out injured yesterday when Cincy was matching Carolina's drives. I dare say this game may have been a little different had Mixon and Green both played 4 quarters.

I have said this for years. Carolina's defense under Ron Rivera has way more trouble with shifty backs- Tevin Coleman and Gio Bernard- than they do with power runners- Devonta Freeman and Joe Mixon. I would bet anything that they would have done better if the Falcons and Bengals had their starting RBs in.
