Re-picking the drafts of the past 3 years... Who's still here, who is replaced? A Bye week reflection...

I would be interesting to see what Michael Thomas would be like on a different team/system. I wasn’t a fan of his in college so I would’ve completely overlooked him during the draft as well. I probably would’ve gone Derrick Henry

hes in a perfect situation with Drew Brees.

I think moton needs to be moved to LT next year IF we resign Williams.

Yep.

Not saying it’s easy but it’s easier to find a right tackle over a left tackle. So I’d for sure move Moton to LT next year and literally tell him it’s his for the foreseeable future.

Dudes a beast. Drew obviously helps everyones numbers, imo, but Thomas has some of the best hands I've ever seen, and is an absolutely fantastic route runner.

Yeah, I’m definitely not saying he’d be a nobody or anything like that I’m just saying his numbers would obviously take a hit. I would just be interested to see by how much.

I think, so far, this year is about the only year they're a bit inflated. I don't think previous years are far off from what he could do in other offenses.

If you've got time, should turn on some tape. I don't know how much football people watch outside of their own team, but I watch a lot and enjoy watching quality football. Thomas plays WR in a way that just makes you want to be a fan. Dudes a dog. He's got some Smitty in him.

During a time where it’s becoming extremely difficult to find a tackle (due to defensive ends becoming more and more freakishly athletic) it’s amazing this dude has been able to play both RT and LT this season and look more than good.

I’d really like to see us stop jerking him around all over the place and let him settle in at a spot and own it.

He had his faults but man was DG a genie with OL in the draft... Williams, Moton, Turner and Norwell as UDFA. Yeah Kugzila was a bust but hardly DG’s fault the guy never got a chance due to injuries.

He’s a better Colston basically

I'll admit I watch all teams and visit many teams reddit boards. Michael is a surgical receiver. I respect him quite a bit. I wouldn't compare him to Steve Smith as much as I would compare him to Reggie Wayne or Tory Holt. The guy just knows how to put corners on their heels and dig in the soft spots of zones.

I don't see a lot of Colston in his game. I think a fair comparison is Fitz.

Wasn't saying he's Smitty style wise. Attitude wise.

    • *EVERY* NFL game is aired on a local broadcast channel in each participating team's market - even if the primary national coverage is on a paid channel (ESPN, Netflix, Amazon, Peacock) For those outside the primary Charlotte or Tampa viewing areas, then ESPN may (or may not) be your only option (check local listings to confirm).   Example: Atlanta ABC is airing the game, even though it's outside those local viewing areas
    • Necas didn't want to be here... What did you want them to do with Mikko... Let him walk for free and ruin half a season???
    • Whole point of bringing in Miller was to pair him with Slavin to cover up his defense... Injuries haven't allowed that to happen.  Which has a trickle down effect on the other pairings So what should be  Slavin/Miller Walker/Chatfield  Nikishin/Ghost   Has been Walker/Miller Nikishin/Chatfield  Some fresh bodies from the AHL   On top of that goalie play has been mostly a miss with Freddie in net and the defense in front of the goalies has been mostly trash. We probably won't get the answer to the Miller Slavin question this season (if the pairing can work at all)  Only thing can hope for is the defense to get and stay healthy and for the front office to go find a goalie and another center.
