"We'd never do that"

I'm a fan of the Reid signing, but I'm not a fan if Tepper was leaning on Marty and Ron to do so.

Now, if Marty called him and said "hey, we need this guy, Ron wants this guy, are we good to make an offer" and Tepper gave them the go ahead, I'm super excited.

If Tepper called a meeting with Ron and Marty, said he didn't like the way the back end of the defense was playing, and leaned on them to sign Reid...then I'm going to be pretty bummed out.

We will likely never know...that said...that's what we used to say during the previous regime.

I'm fine with it if Tepper was leaning on Marty/Ron to make a move at safety. It's obvious that it was a glaring weakness on our roster.

I'm tired of us sitting on our laurels on not giving ourselves rhe best possible chance to compete for the ultimate prize. We have generational type players in Cam and Luke. If we don't get a Lombardi out of these guys it'll be a massive organizational failure.

There is no legitimate reason to be against a player kneeling.

That's like saying there's only one side to a story or only one valid opinion on a topic.

Agree with it or not, people have plenty of reasons to believe whatever they want.

100%

I tend to lean toward your first scenario. Like you say, we will probably never know but... Just from a common sense approach, I believe Hurndawg and Rivera approached Tepper. That’s how it normally works anyway.

Teppers big contribution here is allowing the coach and GM to feel comfortable enough to ask. That’s a big deal in any business.

I give cred to all 3 equally.

Players kneeling neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.  The action is in no way injurious to others.

In your opinion. Can't just invalidate everybody else's opinion because you disagree with it.

One example: Things like Kaepernick's support of Castro and his "pig" socks turned a lot of people off the protests, especially people who had suffered under the Castro regime or people who are family members of cops.

You can say that applies only to him and not the protests in general, but he's the one who started them. You can't really divorce the two.

For me, I'm not upset over the signing of Reid or anything like that. I do, however, think it's wrong to just dismiss other people's feelings out of hat.

I'm not counting people that can't handle their feelings. Too bad we don't give a poo about the people that have suffered under our regimes, which is the reason for the kneeling.

Disagree, but I'm not interested in turning this into a political discussion either way.

I'd much rather talk about what's changing with the Panthers.
