How did he gamble on Olsen?  He was already on the team and we drafted a tight end.  What was he supposed to do?  Are you suggesting we should have cut him? lol

By gambling on someone I would assume they signed said player or didn’t do anything as a fall back plan.

I could give you more examples of the opposite of this..... The better teams snag/keep the older player.... 

Middle of the road teams or rebuilding teams let them go.....
