I'd say it more likely wesley is done after that play.

Are you serious? Wesley's always been a good special teamer for us and has shown he can even fill in at corner, if absolutely needed. Why would we let him go for a mistake, no matter how bad of a mistake that was?

This is a team, remember, that was able to successfully deal with one player punching another player in the face -- twice.

Wesley isn't going anywhere.....and if he does then it will further prove this organization has lost it's damn mind.

So what...his timing was a little off, and he rocked a guys world. It's football folks....FOOTBALL!

All you whinny bitches go somewhere else if you think what he did was so terrible. We've had some hits much more vicious made on our players than what that hit was, and NOTHING was ever called.....so get over it please.

Thank you.

Im not saying its assured but that play made us look like a bunch of thugs to the NFL don't be surprised if they cut him because of it.

if anything, it mad HIM look like a thug.

Exactly and us because he plays for us. I personally think this league is becoming a bunch of pussies. They are taking a sport that is contact and trying there best to make it touch football. While I think wesley's hit was dumb on his part he should have gotten a foul and a fine not a suspension.

and a great example the eagles game in 04 where there was a helmet 2 helmet hit on jake and nothing was called, and I don't know if there was ever a fine handed down over that either.

I fully agree with your statements.Wesley,a player with NO history of dirty play made a dumb mistake while trying to make a good football play.He was not trying to hurt the returner,so the foul and fine should have been sufficient.:sifone:

    • First, am I wrong? I looked back over all his posts here and I didn't see anything positive other than Shough. Second, pretty sure if you had read the post I was responding to, you would have seen CRA made poo personal as well . You just choose to address me instead of him. Not sure why?????
    • I wanted XL but I felt he should have been a 2nd rounder but I understand the logic trading up just to get the option. A safety net for your gamble.    Certainly disappointed with his receivers development but i like his down field blocking and I imagine that's what's keeping him on the field.
    • Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.
