There’s only so much one man can do

Cam should have made the td throw. Loss not all on him but he is the biggest reason  now cause he missed an open td throw. Sorry it is what it is man.

Even though with how the defense played they probably would let Smith go downfield on the them and get the FG.

This is team has a lot to fix overall and its still a long season ahead.

I remember Rodgers throwing that pick in 2015 that was intercepted in the endzone by TD that sealed the victory. He happens to all great QB's and it happened to Cam today. It doesn't mean we don't acknowledge the few mistakes he did make, unfortunately doing so gets you lumped in with the crazies who want to get rid of Cam for "reasons".

No I was specifically replying to thebigcat mentioning those top tier qbs. The entire team let us down today not just one specific player. Cam made some awesome plays to get us back in the game, then let us down at the end. It happens. You see pushback from folks when some people act like cam has to be fuging perfect.

Why mention those top tier qbs at all? Makes no sense when they’ve ALL let their teams down at the end of games. It’s just annoying. I’m totally cool with talking about Cams play as long as it’s in the right context and with good, factual debate. Cam did not play well in that last series. The end.

Carry the offense with his arm?

Check.

Lead the team in rushing yet again?

Check.

Carry a dinosaur head coach blubbering “SAVE ME AGAIN CAMMMMMM PLEEEEEEAASE!!!!!” on his broad shoulders yet again?

Check.

But sometimes just *barely* short of the finish line.

If people still don’t understand the utter incompetence of this head coach, they are beyond reach.

Throw 3 passes into the stands at the end of the game as a pro QB

Check

It’s especially hard for us as Panther fans to identify blame in some of these situations. Why? Because literally, what we do at the end of many games doesn’t all flow in the same direction. We wanna blame Cam for missing throws, but then realize that the whole philosophy of what he’s doing in those situations is contrary to what Rivera is doing the whole rest of the game. We wanna blame the defense for being able to get MORE stops and being as dominant as they always have been, but then realize if we didn’t start games in full run conservative mode, maybe they wouldn’t have to get so many stops.

We lead the league in rushing? Yay! We’re also the only team trying to. This all just comes back to....Rivera. All the Giants game did was make him believe he needed to refocus the team - not on what it does best or needs to do - but on what his philosophy is. That’s why we came out and ran 5 straight times and didn’t go for it on 4th and 1. It happens with alot of simple guys who get a little bit of success. All they know how to do is go back to what made them successful. No innovation, no awareness, no willingness to make real changes. It will lose us more than a few games this year. And we’ll be hoping Cam makes better decisions down the stretch as he will inevitably have to save us because of Rivera’s ineptitude.

absolutely not true.

Absolutely is true.  Go to any other board of a team that lost today (and some that won) with a poor offensive performance, and deserved or not, either the qb or the offensive coordinator, or the head coach (or some combination thereof) will get the majority of the blame, deserved or not.  Also holds true for a lot of college boards as well.

Criticism in and of itself has NEVER been the issue. I'm not about to play the intellectual dishonesty card.

Cam's inability to throw a deep ball is becoming obvious. He didn't give anyone a chance on his last three throws. That has nothing to do with coaching, officiating, or "weapons". Its okay to place blame on a player that threw three straight bad passes to end a game.

Oh look another one, and dropping off more baseless speculation. I remember just a few years ago when you flat out plainly questioned Newton's work ethic based on absolutely nothing. When asked what information you had to remotely substantiate this sort of claim, you got all pissy and dipped out.

Point is, if it didn't happen, there is a distinct possibility that they were all in on it and looking for something. This absurd notion that Cam is just doing his own thing is bizarre as hell.

You have totally missed the point

this is t about someone being ‘in’ on whatever it is you think people were ‘in’ on, it’s about a coach be it turner or Rivera or the field general Newton, Making sure that every single player understands what is needed   What is important

Let me try to spoon feed you...in on it meaning Norv, RR and Cam, looking to take the shots to the EZ. THAT could be the reason they didn't call a TO from the sideline. Every single player???
