More that they''re absolutely NEGATIVE about future events...

Had we won the game, these folks would still have nits to pick, about how it was won.  I don't see them as fans, so much as anonymous complainers, who get off on tearing things apart, as if they could do it better.  They're entitled to their opinions, but I just see the world -- and the Panthers -- and all I care about in life -- in a more positive and optimistic framework.  They can flame away at that attitude all they want; no effect on me.

I see Wins as a celebratiIon; Losses as learning experiences.  The sun still rises.

I will defend to the death, anyone's right to say stupid things. And most days I just let them slide on by. But there are days when I am feeling a tad froggy, so I pick a few out and see how far they are willing to go. Most days this place can still be entertaining.

That said. For me, the only real beef I have is when the emotions get the better of folks. The crass, and crude language used is just plain boorish. I have never gotten how one human being can be so disrespectful to any one. Thankfully, there are not so many of those. But man, when they get their ire up. This place can go down the ol pooper in a hurry.

Sorry for the mini rant. And back to making fun of stupid/overly emotional people. lol

You misquote a stat to prove your point and I'm the bad guy for accurately quoting your stat.  Okay, makes sense.

Nothing is misquoted. You just decide to look at the same numbers in a negative way and call it the truth.

I mean, being 71, but in each set there are 10-15 quarterbacks so 1 comeback either way jumps to the 40s or the 100s.

you neglected to say, cams tied for with 10-15 others for the same 14, and with 4 more hes 21st.

what I said there was true, and I feel that’s awesome since he’s only 8 seasons in,.. and he’s ahead of Aaron Rodgers and a host of others,.. and they have more seasons,..

i see the same numbers,.. but the complete numbers,.. and see them as very positive.

you just picked something I didn’t say— Cams technically 71 if you can consider there are many from 59-76 that share the same 14 comebacks,.. but you chose 71 as a stab—

not the bad guy,.. just think you see things very different, or want to.

Will say here what I usually say with regard to 4th quarter comebacks...

I know people talk about them like a good thing, and in a way they are because they named you won games, but the bad thing about last minute comebacks is they mean that you were losing up till the last minute.

I blame the coaches and the fans from last week hat celebrated the Giants game saying we won. That was the start of this game. We played down to the competition thinking we were automatically better bc of our record and their starters being out. It was the same for Falcons game. We come out flat and ask Cam to wake up aor just save us. This offense can be great if it is up tempo it is what Cam thieves off of. Rivera coaching style does not mesh well with Cams abilities. Cam is just an average Qb under Rivera and remain that unless he changes his coaching style which I doubt. Cam will not win a SB with Rivera he does not know how to adapt in game situations. His overall playing style needs to adjust in game it never does.Team just on auto pilot and doesn' wake up until they are about to crash some times they survive sometimes they die(falcons, redskins).

Yet Cam won an MVP(with Shula and Ginn) and we were one of 10 teams in the modern NFL to only lose 1 regular season game.

This is the problem with stating absolutes despite facts.

Not saying I’m not without questions regarding Rivera. I agree with many of his pointed out flaws. But if you follow any team closely, you will find similar complaints. And disregarding his actual “peak” is not an accurate portrayal. Could it be possible to upgrade. Sure? Are odds in your favor that they do? Absolutely not!

There are boxers who are great punchers and there are boxers who are great punchers and counter-punchers.

Lots of coaches can come up with something that works. Great coaches are the ones that come up with something that works and then are also  able to tweak it when other teams adjust to it or find a flaw in it.

Shula found a great working system that year, but when someone figured it out (Atlanta) he had no response.

And yeah, it still burns my ass that we went into the Super Bowl with nothing different even after that Falcons game exposed our flaws.

Valid point but NFL games are always so close that it is rare that a team leads an entire game.  When you get paid $100 million you should be able to run a two minute offense and score more often than not.

And nothing changes the fact that he DID it. Not possibly. It happened. Fairly recently. Sort of hard to say it can’t happen when it has.

Just stating a fact. Just like the chance of getting worse is greater than the chance of improving over Rivera. But I wouldn’t care at all if Tepper cleaned house, if no playoffs. I can see both sides.

I was talking about Shula in the post you quoted.  I assume you're talking about Rivera.

Yes. Rivera. Who in the post I quoted was roasted for not having the ability to do things he had already accomplished.

Sorry, Dude. I didn't mention Rivera at all in that post. It was only about Shula.

Did you mean to quote somebody else?

I didn’t quote you originally. Only answered after you quoted my response to someone else. You have lost me.
