Arbitrator ruled that the Bengals were within their rights to ask Reid whether he planned to protest or not.

To be clear, this is separate from his collusion case against the NFL. Whether or not this ruling will have an effect on that case, don't know.

Reids name is involved so it has a lot to do with the team.

I get that it is their right to ask the question but doesn’t it kind of prove Reid’s point?

No. Collusion means 2 or more teams or 1 team and the league conspired to either keep him out of the league or depress his earnings.

A team deciding on their own that they don’t want him because he kneels is not collusion in any way.

He has to prove multiple parties acted together.

For this grievance he had to prove that the Bengals weren’t even allowed to ask that and there really isn’t anything in the CBA that says they can’t.

Of course it is within their right to ask.  They need to know if they’re about to sign a player who is going to make an ass of himself and embarrass the organization on a weekly basis.

They already have Burfict - they don’t need another one.

Won’t start a new thread as it will go for 1000 pages and people will still spew hate at each other but this article makes some great points about Sunday’s affairs. He could have handled this situation with more class and maturity.
