We're gonna need cap flexibility just to stay afloat. Bad contracts on guys like Matt Kalil and Munnerlyn are hurting us right now. One could argue that the last thing we need to do is to make things harder in the next few years on us financially.

Two things fans are not known for. Planning for the future. And worrying about money.

Just win me a damm SB, I don't care about all that other stuff.

Man, I wish it were that easy. Need a DE, go sign one. Need a LT, go get you one. Easy Peasy.

Who’s mad. This is hilarious. It’s like pistol-whipping a blind kid.

Not I Bro. Just tired of going in circles other people see what’s going on like Bronn pointed out.

This argument started with an actual point, you made some points and I made some points, I took some losses and so did you. the second half after you got pissy has just been straight up stupid yo.

I’m not going to argue till Armageddon in circles so you can achieve some sort of absolute victory.

this poo stupid and the sooner  you figure that out the better. Like I said before I’m done.

This statement pretty much sums up your reputation. Maybe try and be part of the solution.

Sure thing Dr. Phil. Doesn’t matter what you post as long as it’s coated.with unicorns and puppies. Isn’t Oprah on. And stop acting like you are so above this. You came after me when I never acknowledged you ever. But you’re the solution? Whatever helps you sleep at night.

You said I was wrong. What losses?  Don’t care about losses. That’s you. You calledme wrong and still haven’t shown anything I’ve said to be anything but fact. And you just want me to say cool? Forget that. I didn’t call you wrong with lies. You did. And still won’t say so.

The little trick of deflecting to a more “PC response” when a person is just wrong is tiresome. Either know what you’re talking about or deal with responses.

That's not a cap mess..... Smith was a trade btw and a great trade. The dead money that MH agreed to for Shepard is 1.4mil.... again not a cap mess.

DG's signing of MK was a bad assessment of talent, but  it is not  a cap mess, since we can get out of it next year and not lose a poo load of money.

Again, what you and I perceive as a cap mess is different. See panthers 2011-2015 for a real cap mess.

The main reason that  2011 to 2014 was trouble was a flat cap which didnt excalate like now. If we were still flat our cap mess would be twice what it was then. And kalil"s dead cap if we cut him next year is still 15 million. Over one year or two that is a ton. Plus we have to replace him as well.

2013-18.6M

2014- 27M

2015-15M(and a 20M cap hit for CJ)

He sure didn’t leave a worse mess than he inherited.

Agreed but who made that point? I simply said we have almost 27 million in dead cap and IR. Kalil is a huge part which would be bigger if we hadn't restructured it.

But there is a large savings too, the question is, is he worth his Cap hit? If the answer is no $15m dead cap over two years or not we need to just cut our losses and move on.

i think we will know when he comes back from injury. If he comes back and is terrible then he just needs to go and we need to cut our losses. If he is good then keep him and just grin our teeth and bare it.

imo to date he has not been worth the contract we are paying him and if I were to make a choice today I’d cut him post June 1st next year.

I don’t see how IR guys matter. Until someone can predict injuries, where do you assess anything. And the 10M is bottom half of the league. So it isn’t as bad as it’s been before. And if it’s a mess, what was it before. Cap He’ll that’s what.

It’s aleays good to add context to the agendas.

If a guy on IR has had an injury past it matters. If like Williams he doesn't then it doesn't which it why I didn't mention it. Kalil.on the other hand did so I mentioned it. Simple really.

    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
    • it's not so much this personal vendetta against the Carolina Panthers as it is more about Bryce Young never not once been in the same conversation with the top 15 or even top 20 Qbs in the NFL ..just saying
