Panther W-L stats

If the Panthers win this week, they go to .500 all time, and  they are 9-8 in the playoffs. The Current record is 183-184-1

(For comparison, the Saints are 361-434-5---the would have to go undefeated for over five more seasons to reach .500'; The Falcants are 354-447-6.  They would have to go undefeated for five seasons and win 13 games in the sixth season to reach .500;  The Bucs are sitting at 258-408-1.  They would have to go undefeated for 9 seasons and would still need 6 wins the following season to reach ;500. Arggh!)

  • Rivera is 3-4 in the playoffs, 0-1 in Super Bowls.  He has led the team to the playoffs 4 of 7 seasons.  He is 69-49-1 as a head coach.
  • Fox was 5-3 in the playoffs, 0-1 in Super Bowls.  He led the team to the playoffs 3 of 9 seasons.

If the Panthers make the playoffs this season, it will be the fourth (4th) time in the past 5 seasons.

If the Panthers win 11 games this season (they are on pace to do so), it will be the fourth (4th) time in the past 6 seasons they have done so.

Disclaimer: I know--some are going to say, "This proves Rivera is a great coach." How would Fox have done with Cam? How would RR have done without Cam?

Some will say, "One game at a time!" This is not to suggest that reflection is a bad thing and we should never look back, forward, or side to side.  That is dumb.

"You jinxed us!"  Really? When I say nothing and they lose...

Just some fun facts to ponder.

These are the good ol' days, folks.  Enjoy the ride.

We are 188-186-1. Your numbers are from the beginning of the season.

This type of thread surfaced numerous times at the end of last season and at the beginning of this one.

Update

While I was on that side, I noticed that Ron needs 4 more wins to tie the number of wins under John Fox....
