Vets don't go through wavers.

What???????

Irvin played just nine snaps in a 34-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night. He will be subject to waivers and will be owed about $3.8 million for the rest of the season if he isn’t claimed next week.

NFL should punish teams for intentionally tanking. This is clearly a team trying to win the #1 pick. David Carr to be traded to the Jaguars in the offseason.

If the Raiders weren't leaving the city I wonder if the coach would be less willing to put total garbage on the field - I mean, he clearly doesn't give a poo about providing something for the fans to watch...

Are we talking about Bruce Irvin cause the waver wire is for players with less than 4 years in the league.

During the NFL season, starting from the NFL trading deadline through the end of the regular season, vested veterans (those with 4+ years of experience) are also subject to the waiver process. That means any veterans cut after Week 8 will go through waivers along with non-vested veterans.

Welp I guess we will not get him after 22 or so teams get their shot.

I am concerned with the overall depth at defensive end with inexperienced or low ceiling players behind Peppers and Addison moving forward to the second half of the season with the Saints in mind.  We need a spark on the line rotating with the starters.
