Dude, Anderson didn't want to be on the team. The best thing for both sides was to part ways. It saves his career and doesn't derail team chemistry

It might be the best thing for Anderson. It's not the best thing for the team.

Letting go of quality depth is never a good thing.

I didn't like the Washington hire to begin with but it is what you get with an unproven commodity. Let's hope 10 days and an easier team makes the difference this week.

We didn't absolutely have to go that route though.

We made no effort to consult with any outside candidates for the position.

Just doesnt make sense when there are 2-3 teams fighting for a playoff spot that have a huge need at RB as mentioned Philly above, who were even rumored to trying to even go big after Mccoy or Bell.  There is no possible way a team isnt gring to part eith a 6yh-7th round pick for a guy who puts them back in the driver seat for a playoff spot

Let's see who picks him up. Honestly I thought he was slow and not very elusive. I doubt we miss him much unless injuries pile up.

Foolish statement. Was releasing Terrell Owens good for the team?

Anderson being frustrated doesn't equal causing problems with the team. Nobody has given any indication that he did anything detrimental.

Are you saying that his being a potential distraction is enough justification to release him?

Rivera thought he had the right guy. So far I among others have big doubts.

That doubt should transfer to Rivera as well since ultimately it was his decision.

He's seen enough through these years with the franchise to know that it is a very good thing to weigh options.

He also knows by experience that you can over react as well. Let's see what happens over the next several games.

No point in keeping a disgruntled player if he is replaceable and isn't going to hurt the cap.

Anderson hasn't been great this season. The team feels that CAP is a good enough replacement.

The same team that felt Amini Silatolu was a better starter than Greg Van Roten this year and Andrew Norwell previously?

The team that went into the preseason prepared to start Kevon Seymour at corner?

The team that currently thinks Chris Manhertz is a better number two tight end than Ian Thomas?

The team who is now saying that they need to "take an honest look" at Cameron Artis-Payne and found it necessary to release someone to do that rather than just elevating him up the depth chart?

This is the team whose judgement I should trust?

Anderson has a proven track record in the league. Artis-Payne still "needs a look" but we're going to release a proven player anyway.

This is an absolutely stupid decision.

he did indeed find the right guy. the right guy to rivera is a yes man when things are going well and a fall guy when things are going poorly. a guy who won't ever threaten his job. he's such a richardson guy lol. he's spent 8 and a half seasons being complacent, stroking his own ego, and cashing fat checks.

And expecting Cam Newton to save his ass.

i wish cam was as selfish as his (highly suspect) critics claim because a selfish cam would force this dumb coaching staff out the door

I wouldn't want that.

The far more desirable outcome would be for the guy who owns the team to see what's not working and fix it.

Whether or not that's going to happen? No way to know yet.
