It’s time to man up in the draft again.

This team has become very passive since the failed Edwards and the great spinner at end himself. While we have seen some great returns at other positions letting the draft come to us, teams that wait on pass rushers normally don’t have a good pass rush. If u want a stud you have to be aggressive, they don’t last.

look at the saints, everyone thought they were crazy for moving so many picks to get Davenport, and while he is hurt at the moment he has been productive and gives them a young piece at a premium position. Teams like the patriots who trade back are fine if they want win with offense but do they have a watt,Donald, clowney, or anyone that demands attention? Nope. Because pass rushers bosa and all don’t fall.

You have to go get yours. Moore and Donate have been great for us, but I would be lying if I wasn’t yelling at the tv for us to trade up for Derwin James as he fell farther and farther. We can’t keep plugging in 38 year old Adams and 38 year old peppers and saying,we will get one next year when he falls into our lap at the 24th pick.

We're almost forced into using our 1st on a DL. Fortunately, this might be the strongest DL draft in recent memory.

Before you congratulate the Saints on giving up two 1sts for Davenport, let's see what they look like post-Brees because they gave up some primo assets that could've been used to secure his successor.

I think they think Hill is his sucessor in the short term. he is already taking snaps out of brees hands.

Funny thing is outside samuel, cmc, and moore most of of resources have been going to the defensive side of the ball. I think they have all been bad like butler, shaq, hall and so on.

Yup. The problem hasn't been a lack of picks on the defensive side. The problem is Gettleman drafted a ton of busts.

    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
    • Well, seeing as we play the Lions at home this year, pretty sure that rumor isn't true.
    • Totally possible imo, I also caught that snippet from Morgan where he said “If” we sign him. The lack of competition says otherwise tho 🤷‍♂️
