It's a fkng keep media happy statement. He is not saying he is running his team that way.

Look at all the freedom Chudz, Shula and Norv has have to run an innovating offense (not that Shula was smart enough to take advantage), Ron is smart enough to know he needs to keep up with the development, watch the tape instead of the press conference.

If he and his staff can keep up is left to be seen, but do not fool yourself that he is not trying.

Even if every coach tried to adapt, all 32 of them, not every team would be able to match that kind of production every week. If the NFL keeps things as they are this year, there will be a lot more blowouts and lopsided games. 54-51 games would only be between the top offenses. Most games would be 52-20. This will result in less viewers during the second half of contest as many casual fans will change the channel. Ad revenue will drop. At least with a more defensive style of game, 28-17 for example, there is more of a chance that a team can come back to win, thus keeping more viewers. The NFL will have to find a middle ground to keep people watching through the second half.
