The 4th and 3

Does anyone have another angle of the 4th and 3 in the first? The camera angle they showed were both poor shots of the run. However, on the camera from behind it clearly looked like we got the first down. The tv instant replays were garbage and I hope that’s not what the officials looked at.

Yep, this was a classic "whatever was called on the field, will stand" scenario.  That said, I can't believe there wasn't a shot on the sideline that wouldn't give a better perspective... it was clear he had crossed the first down from the overhead view

Insane. They probably didn’t have a sideline replay for the refs sonwhat we saw they saw. But Seattle’s WRs catches it near the goaline and sure as poo there is a sideline camera right on it. Cam got that first down.

They did. I will never understand the call today.

it's so tiring seeing this poo getting called unevenly.

they call the facemask for Lockett but not Cam or Luke.

they catch DJ Moore stepping out of bounds and move the ball back (without a challenge) but miss the Lions player last week step out of bounds on 3rd down on a TD drive.

no need to mention all the missed holding calls today.

even though i still think we could have lost to PIT, the officiating in the game was absolutely fuging ridiculous but received absolutely ZERO attention, partially because it was a blowout but also because it's PIT.

this has been going on for years. we lost AT LEAST 3 games Cam's rookie year due to absurd officiating.

    • And really, it should be 4 reasons with the last one being that there were ZERO other offensive weapons on that team in 2024, opposing defenses only had to worry about one player all year long and they constantly double and triple teamed him right off the snap all season.  In 2023, we still had Jacob Cowing who had 90 catches that year and was drafted by the 49ers last year, so teams couldn't just send everyone after T-Mac on every passing down.
    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
