RIP having hope or expectations of winning a game

since Week 1 of 2011, I’ve always held out hope that we could win a game. Sure, this sorry heartless bunch of dumbasses (save for 5 players) generally loses and brings out the nihilist in me.

But deep down, I think most of the Huddle — the true fans — thought we could win today. We still want Rivera fired, mind you, but with the top 10% of the team active and playing, there was hope.

That hope is gone. As a once-beloved old horn dog once said, “the energy has been sucked out of this organization.”

It’s gonna take a while for our new coach to get enough players with talent AND heart AND confidence to win again. There is no longer any faith that we can win a football game. We are the new Browns, the laughingstock, everyone’s little brother, the team you get excited about seeing on your schedule so you jump to buy tickets.

we’re a free win. And we will be a free win for 10-12 games next year, regardless of whatever coach inherits this godforsaken pile of dogshit that was once a good team.

I will have no hope aslong as Cam Newton is our starting QB.He is garbage and needs to go asap.

As far as problems go, Cam is lower on the totem pole than

Rivera, Washington, the whole defensive line, the whole secondary minus Jackson, the whole line backing corps minus Luke, Funchess, the offensive line and Gano

been a fan since day one.

i came grips 2-3 weeks ago that this team was going to lose to the browns.

i know because along with watching the panthers, i watch football in general.

I didn’t expect us to go 0-8 in the second half of the season though. We gotta be the first to start 6-2 and finish 0-8.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
