Heading into the off season - ID our Core Players

Frankly, I like our core (players who will be starters in a year)

Offense:  Cam, CMC, Moore, Wright, Samuel, Thomas, Turner, Williams, Moton. 

• Needs:  Starting C.  Competition at LG, TE.  Depth at RB, WR, and OL.

Defense:  Kuechly, Thompson, Reid, Bradberry, Jackson, Short, Addison, Gaulden,  Cox Jr. (Starting to come into his own as a rotational DE).

• Needs: Starting DE, Nickel, and OLB.  Competition at NT.  Depth at UT, CB, S, DE.

CMC and Moore. That's it. Blow it up.

Only reason I say this, is he has a little bit of Hardy-syndrome in him.  Let's beat up on the bad OLs, and disappear in big games. He's been solid for us, but I also don't like the fact that our $10 million DE shows up for 5 games a year to get those sack numbers and that's it.

It's hard to identify a core without knowing who your coach is.

If Rivera is replaced, you're probably looking at new coaches on both sides of the ball.

OL - Moton, Turner, Van Roten

DE - Addison

DL - Short

LB - Luke

CB - Bradberry, Jackson

everyone else on this team has no impact.

I agree. Cmc is our best player on offense and we should build our attack around him and Luke is still the heart of our defense.
