Only you have mentioned Katrina on this thread.  Bountygate, where the NO  assholes cheated and received the biggest fine in NFL history and their coach was suspended from the NFL....thats open season, so to speak.  NO deserves every shot for that one.

At some point as a grown ass man you have to ask yourself is all this worth it just to watch other grown men pummeling each other into the ground for entertainment?

That 2016 Broncos game in Denver where the defense literally tried to take Cam Newton's head off was the shift for me. I am a very casual football fan. I don't even watch other teams games anymore.

its totally meathead.  except you don't take out someone's knees, and you don't headhunt because of the lifetime consequences.  besides that if you have a blind side sack where it snaps the qb's head back, i'm all down with that.   i'm not down with not landing on the qb if you can.  i do dangerous things for fun.  things where i can get hurt badly, as bad a fb player.   i don't want people trying to take that from me because i love positive adrenaline. i don't want to take something from someone else, or their game, because they can get hurt.   there's a limit on how much fun you can have without risk of injury.  at least there is to me.

i have friends way more adrenaline deficient than i am.  friends that have brought back dead friends draped over their kayak more than a couple times.   i don't want class 5 waters closed.
