Observations on Heinicke

I honestly preferred Gilbert in the preseason.  And TBH, I thought Allen looked better in his few snaps than Heinicke ever did...  they should've left him in.  I never saw what others did in Heinicke...  he's the QB version of Bersin lol.

Also, enjoying the extra salty posts (or just silence) from the Anti-Cam crowd who were waiting for even just a mediocre performance from Heinicke to anoint him the new QB of the future.  Lol again.

IIRC, though, Heinicke was Norv's guy.  He was brought in at his suggestion.

He was. I actually thought Gilbert looked like the better passer in preseason, but hey...

And yeah, Allen probably should have finished this game. Possible he may not have had enough prep time.

No reason not to start him next week, though.

Didn't see the whole game, but from what I did see I thought Heinicke played admirably for his first ever start behind a O-line who lets D-linemen run free. It's should be pretty obvious now that Cam was not at all to blame. Heinicke made a handful of poor decisions but overall I thought we moved the ball pretty well and he seemed to lead the offense well for a first start. I'm cool to give him another shot next week if his arm hasn't fallen off by then.
