Lose next week and we will be the first team to ever start 6-2 and finish 6-10.

Can we even beat the Saints backups?

1. Confirmed

2. No. They'll sweep us again, regardless of who plays. CMC can't beat them on his own - no disrespect to him whatsoever.

We know we're going to be starting a backup quarterback.

Heinicke started off great but descended quickly to terrible. I don't really want to watch that movie again.

I'm hoping they put Kyle Allen in next week, but I've watched this team long enough to know what's probably going to happen.

Allen may not be any better, but why not give him a look?

(and by that I mean an actual look, not the kind you give Cameron Artis-Payne)

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
