David tepper speaks.

This just confirms what we all already suspected, this time straight from the horses mouth.

1)Defensive coaching changes made TOO LATE.....we all know he is looking at RR for that mess.  After steelers shiitshow, Hoke should have been fired, washington demoted.

2)Cam couldn't throw down field...As soon as Cam was complaining of shoulder pain, we should have felt good enough about our backup to sit him.   Cam HAS TO COME TO TERMS WITH HIS SHOULDER.  I know he hates to sit, we don't want him to sit, but when I saw Allen throw to Samuel for 50 yards, it felt like we hadn't tried one that long since the opening play against the Bengals (that smith dropped).

3)Clock management.  Discipline...discipline.....discipline....Wow.  Just wow.  Tepper rocks.

4)I love his play with the reporter on digging on future player acquisitions.  Sorry Mr Tepper, we all just feel so bad right now we can't wait to hear the fixes in store.  We all believe the Oline needs attention.  We are worried it will not be at the top of the list as it should.  His statements on the importance of that line were reassuring.....  Though Cam has come a long way, he has to keep working on stepping up into the pocket or rolling out sooner.  His worst hits are where he dropped straight back and the DE had a direct line.  He needs to perfect his throw-aways....too many intentional groundings...costing us points.  He needs to know for every play where the throw-away is.

5)Tepper has confidence in Hurney and RR.  We surmised that because they are still here.  My opinion, Hurney 2.0 did his job.  He found weapons for Cam, DBs, DE and TE with potential.  He found bargain basement O-line players that exceed expectations.  Meanwhile RR's response to the steeler game was to ignore the problems, his clock management is still poor, he doesn't have a feel for when to be aggressive and take risks, and HE DID NOT HAVE THE TEAM PREPARED TO SUCCEED.   The talent was on the field.  We should have been a contender.  Instead we get blank stares from RR.  I'm sorry Ron, this season is on you.

6)Cap space....keep your options open.  We'll see Hurney has not done that well in the past.

This is the best news we've had since we beat the Eagles.

One thing for sure— watching the Rams get to the line within a second of the Ball down was beauty— Chip Kelly concept made better by Sean McVae,..

I would love to see that here,..doesn’t mean they play the blur and go fast, but they dictate the tempo.

just go away.  please explain in great detail why you will or won't go away?  and why you think money managing means success as a football owner when the situations don't have anything in common really. 10,000 words please, that no one will read.  oh, and why are you defending a possible kiddy diddler.   people have heard things.

Gigantic intellectual horsepower.

Intellectual horsepower hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

...here we go now...

Even the owner said we win more games if Cam had performed

Wow that’s some selective hearing you have there...he said if cams shoulder wasn’t injured we’d have won a couple more games...he never once said cam just didn’t perform well.

He said anyone with eyes could see his arm wasn’t right. I really don’t understand why playing through a shoulder injury is so hard for you and a few others to understand. When the owner is speaking of it that plainly you know it was an issue.

Follow the bouncing ball...sound out your vowels...eat some ginkgo biloba..whatever you gotta do to get that hamster on the wheel to at least get to a brisk walk instead of rolling on his back saying rub my belly would possibly help connect the dots

    • I’m keeping an eye on what the Hawks do with Boye Mafe. There’s a few young talented players that needs to be retained and one of their defensive starters might not fit within the budget. My guess is probably Riq Woolen is voted off the island but Mafe could be potentially too. His stats aren’t eye popping, but in McDonald’s defense, his role is to leverage for the DL to clean up. Mafe’s QB pressure rate is top notch and in a different scheme, he could clean up.    Just something to watch this weekend when SEA is in town.
    • Ok fair to judge only his starts.  But you do acknowledge that going from "he's waaaay above league average in a number of categories" to "here's a single stat where he's above league average (not "waaaay") and another where he is exactly at the league average" is a pretty significant backpedal, no?  I'm guessing he's probably in the ~10th range for completion percentage too if we're only looking at starts (I'm too lazy to isolate his starts and do the calculations), so I'll grant you that one too.  But I don't think completion percentage is all that meaningful as a standalone stat if it isn't bolstered by good TD%, Y/A, etc. On that note, for how much people like posting Passing Charts in here (*cough* CRA) - if you peep Shough's passing charts, he hasn't completed a single 20+ yard pass in the past 3 games combined.  His last one was in Week 13 against the Dolphins, which was a single pass of 24 yards.  I just want to be consistent in how we apply our standards - I think it's always been warranted to criticize Bryce for it (even dating back to his rookie season), but do we suddenly not care about that with Shough? And yeah I did acknowledge that Saints' fans have reason to be excited about him and complimented his poise, which is giving my props.  Still not sure I agree that he looks better than a "ton" of QBs nor do I think you or anyone have really demonstrated that.  I think you are generally one of the more reasonable level-headed posters which is why I'm confused at what I consider to be rather hyperbolic language about Shough.
    • I don't disagree with you, but want to point out that Tremble's strong suit has always been blocking. Case and point: on Horn's 25 yard run, he lays down not 1 but 2 nice blocks...and is looking for #3! https://www.panthers.com/video/jimmy-horn-jr-s-25-yard-run-gives-panthers-red-zone-access-on-first-drive
