Its been a great series and the home games have been a blast. But down 2-0 the first 10 minutes is a terrible start

Yeah, this is a different team on the road.  If they could be 75% of what they are at home in the first two periods on the road, we would've already closed out the series.

I know but the night and day difference between playing in Raleigh and DC needs to change. We have to be able to figure that out at some point. Keep in mind, this will be 0-6 this season at their home ice.

they need to starting hitting someone on defense. they have been playing the whole series with their sticks, and the caps are skating free. put a body on someone, for fugs sake

Caps handle the puck 1000 times better than we do

Man...  we cant get out of our defensive zone.  Powerplay or full-strength.

They have started too but it’s not great looks or great angles. They are just bouncing off the caps players

Then on our powerplays we spend more time chasing the puck than we do possessing the puck or attacking.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that we couldn't score in a hypothetical 5 to 1 Power Play scenario. Having a personnel advantage literally is our kryptonite.

Svech makes that 2nd line a threat. Staal and Williams are great setup guys but rarely make their own scoring chances, Svech's size and puck skill is needed more than we realize. 

From my perspective, we don't look THAT different on the road. The Caps do though. The Caps look noticeably worse on the road and better at home. We look the same (save for the 6-0 blowout loss a couple games ago) either place. Playing on the road in this league is tough, for sure. We've seen it across a lot of other series in these playoffs. 

I think, more than anything, we have to take away their edge at home. We have to go harder than we have all series right now and not let up. Hard to do without two BIG pieces (regardless of what some here think, Ferland is a BIG loss for us due to his size and playoff experience). 

The fourth line has to step up. Big time. The top 2 lines have GOT to get shots on net and find those second and third chances. And defensively, cannot give up the middle. Happened twice, they scored twice.
