You just have to hope they accidentally back into a good player with a top 5 pick. If you get enough top 5 picks, the odds are that you will eventually get an elite talent.

Theyll get a top 3 pick

NBA can rig a lottery.  We've seen it with the New Orleans owned Pelicans over us, Lebron to his hometown, former Philly player tweeting out contracts on the top pick 76ers a few hours before the "drawing", etc etc

 

Hornets are already bad and not drawing anyone.  Charlotte is a Big market (suprisingly it is, not to LA, Chicago, or NY level but way up there)

They have a big face figure of their sport as the owner.

They were already 26th in the league in attendance.  Now losing its star player that will turn away 50% of the remaining fan base.   Are binded in contract he11 where they arent able to bring in big FA to help.

Hornets could be look like the tampa bay rays stadium with the leagues worst team.  No young guys with star potential.  That will not be a good look at all for the league.

I fuging hate Nic Batum and will boo his French punkass every time he's on the court.. His bitch ass poo just destroyed this franchise.. Why even have him here?? I'd rather him being in France stealing the money then taking minutes from younger players..

Yep... only thing that really makes sense once Kemba and lamb are gone is just start and play the young guys...might as well let them learn and develop while we lose

IDK that they will reward us because we are a mismanaged team. It isn't like the deck was stacked particularly against us, we just do incredibly stupid things in the draft and in free agency. 

Of course, if the NBA really wanted to make it a fair system they would get rid of the draft lottery. It's one of the dumbest things in all of professional sports. But, that being said, we are one of the few franchises that could probably screw up a top 3 pick with regularity.

I have no hatred of Batum.  He didn't sign himself to that goofy ass contract and he'd be a damn fool to turn it down. The Bobnets are to blame for that one.

I blame him for being a bitch and not atleast playing to the level he did before the contract.. 

Can't blame the team for him not being aggressive and playing like a bitch.. I blame them for the contract but even at 10 mil a year he isn't worth it.  Or playing up to it..

      Let it all out bro.   At the end of the day Charlotte fans just aren't that passionate as other fans. The Panthers and Hornets crowds are wack.    Go to a Canes game and you will understand this. Tell the family I said hi and Happy Father's Day.

I'm done after this bc I'm punching down intellectually here... The Panthers have been bad for 6 years now. You are obviously young and not overly educated based off the "dunks" you're putting out there that certainly are, so let me educate you today on the Panthers. The Panthers sold out for well over a decade straight. BOA has been as good an environment as there is when the team is good.  Fan support for the Panthers has been incredible when the team has even remotely reciprocated. The idea that Charlotte doesn't support the Panthers is utter BS. People in Raleigh have the biggest little brother syndrome of all time... Nobody outside of the Triangle cares about any of your "vaunted" sports team outside of Duke-UNC in basketball on a national scale. Sure, the Canes are great. But nationally, the WWE dwarfs the NHL in ratings. More people care about Cody Rhodes than Sebastian Aho... or anyone else in the NHL for that matter... I doubt less than 5% of anyone in this state outside of Raleigh even knows who that is... that's a knock on Aho who is a great player, it's just the NHL barely makes a ripple in the overall hierarchy of American sports. It's not in the same universe as the NFL or NBA no matter how badly you want to tell yourself otherwise. Raleigh is not a big-time sports city, no matter how much you want to scream into the abyss about it. Neither is Charlotte. But no one here is making such a nonsense argument... LOL it's good to be young and to be ignorant enough to be confidently wrong... WTF are you even on this board though since Charlotte is so beneath you?       You do know the biggest military base in the US is located just an hour from Raleigh in Fort Bragg right? Military families are family oriented. A hour drive to games is nothing compared to traveling 3 hours to Charlotte.   Cmon man there is nothing happening in Western Carolina other than Charlotte. I only go west for outdoor activities and some nature/mountain views.
