that we should get a pretty clear idea of who is starting today at practice base on reps with the 1st... He also believes that it might be Matt Moore over A.J. Feeley

Also Jason Lacafora from the NFL Network believes that the team may bench Jake for a week to let him get his mind clear and take a breather and let Matt Moore or A.J. Feeley start for this week only.

Time will tell...

Not sure if John Fox is going to say it out loud, but we should have a better idea tomorrow who the Panthers starting quarterback will be for Arizona.

If I had to guess right now, I'd say Matt Moore, but it's early and I reserve the right to change my mind. Call it a 65-35 lean at the moment.

I don't know if Jason's comments are on nfl.com but he did state it on NFL Total Access last night

my feeling is: if it is AJ Feeley then the NFL Network is right in that Fox is giving Jake a week to clear his mind. However, if it is Matt Moore, I believe the thinking is that we need to see what he has to offer and unless he stinks it up the job will be his going forward.

So Fox think scenerios:

1. AJ Feeley = Jake clearing his mind for a week

2. Matt Moore = Changing of the gaurd

3. No Change = Fox really does not care about his job and is ready to go

I dont think it matters who it will be..they are just giving jake time to clear his head..

If Moore plays well...at least average and especially if the Panthers win and THEN Fox starts Jake the next week, the whole city of Charlotte will implode and Fox may want to seriously consider a bodyguard.

I think that's true if Feeley starts and plays well too.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
