Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is looking for new location in South Carolina and they will put their current land up for sale.  They are down to 2 locations so their search should be coming to an end soon.  They currently own 55 acres right beside Panthers stadium (Panthers stadium sits on only 25 acres).  When land becomes available, expect Tepper to move fast.  I believe this is one of the reasons he’s rushing with MLS franchise.

Getting the land is only a very small part of the equation. Convincing Charlotte to pony up half a billion on a new stadium after sinking 150 million into BOA is a big sell.

He wants to tax hotels in Charlotte so basically people from other states will pay.  Will have minimal impact on locals.

Yeah that is the theory to make folks happy but he city or county or whoever have to take out bonds to pay it up front and hope to pay it off with increased taxes. But they are on the hook for the money no matter what.

Charlotte will pay up... no one else in Carolinas can plus they just signed deal with Rock Hill so they can’t wonder too far.

The City has seen the writing on the wall and there are only a few decision makers that oppose it. They know what a new stadium could bring to the city.

A new done won't bring in more money than BOA with a retractable roof but will likely cost 350 million more to build. It will make Tepper richer but the city would get the same either way.

    • Lol Atlanta looks to have lost their young edge rusher, has no 1st round pick, a complete mess at QB, a new coaching staff… And we swept them this year. Says what they think of us.
    • I mean, you can only go so far with the propping up. When a guy's numbers are as bad overall as Bryce's you have to try to find specific niches to sell. It's just funny that they're honing in on where he's probably weakest to try to prop him up. Whether it's a pro-Bryce conspiracy or not, it echos my chief complaint about PFF's analysis for years. When your purely statistical analysis badly skews from the eye test of actually watching the games, it should be screaming at you that you need to modify your system not double down on it. PFF is awesome at compiling stats but their grade systems are highly flawed and they never seem to try to improve them.
    • Then why is Byce also last in other PFF stats?  The deep ball thrower stat by PFF can simply be flawed vs some conspiracy trying to prop up a QB on a team that a former employee now works for.  Both of these guys were also hired AFTER the Panthers had already drafted Bryce.  Trying to prop him up with a made up stat while he struggled would be a detriment to their own team honestly.
