His 7 pass attempts (all in the same single year) in the last 7 years?

Based on how he's performed this preseason, firstly.

Based on having CMC as a bailout option, which no other team has, secondly.

Not only those, but we could use his help on special teams too.

Scarlett and Bonnefon are my guesses too. Scarlett seems to have really good vision and wiggle in congested spaces

He wont get cut, you are right.  Not because he is a quality QB2.  But because he is a QB3 if you are absolutely desperate, and brings quality special teams play.

Trade him for a 4-5th(range). I feel like Hurney screwed the pooch with Webb though.

How did Hurney screw the pooch with Webb? By not going after a guy that hasn't been good enough to be a back up QB for 7 years?

Joe Webb is good, he’s Cam light in essence. His tag is 750K not the 3-10 million other vets are going to ask for. 

Hurney came in and let Webb go, right before the season. I feel like Webb is going to be sour on him for that. Since it was the last of the cuts I feel like Rivera would have kept him if given the choice.
