I repeat, Moore Isn't The Answer

I wonder how many Int's will it take too yank Jake out of this game? All I know is if Jake throws 2 or more of em and he still stays in...this board will explode...it's already starting to erupt....

He will be pulled if he throws 2 in the first half!

Thanks for more worthless ramblings "catdaddy". Your contention, and the coach's, is that Jake gives us the best chance to win. I ask you - How can the best chance to win be no chance?

Delhomme spotting a team like Arizona two short fields, at least, is a guaranteed loss. There is a chance, perhaps small but it exists, that Moore will not turnover the ball.

He turned the ball over on the second series he touched it, can't argue with idiots. I wish he'd get in there a throw 300 a game with no turnovers, but the coaching staff doesn't think he's capable of starting over Jake, doesn't that say something to you?

I honestly believe Jake is the way to go. I don't see any QB on our roster better then him. I mean, it even seems like Matt is comfortable being a back-up. If u want a position you gotta take it and none of the QB's behind Jake want it that bad which also show me leadership problems. Now, we all kno Jake is a hell of a leader and if we could just get him from stop turning over the ball, I think we would be alright. Even with all that said, I still think it's time to look toward the future via the Draft becuz we need a franchise QB.

No one thinks Matt Moore is the franchise savior catdaddy. Everyone is just saying he's a better option than Jake right now. I think you look a little foolish to constantly argue that. Jake averages 3 turnovers a game. Matt Moore would have to come out and look completely lost for about 5 games in a row for me to even consider Jake as a better option right now.

That's what I'm trying to say.

I don't think many of us here have unreasonable hopes of Moore saving our season, or being our franchise quarterback for years to come. We're just thinking that he'd be a better option than Delhomme at this time.

Not only that, but it would be wise to see what we have in him before he's a free agent.

Now we got linebackers telling Dan Morgan that Moore doesn't even know all the plays! That tells me how much he likes his job. He had to leave UCLA because of grades and go to a community college. Does that tell you anything? The kid is apparently lazy.

Where did this info come from?

The Morgan stuff is basically where Morgan said that he had heard Moore didn't know all of the playbook yet (or was it that Feeley knew more of it?)... However, Gross has since said that Moore knows the system and knows the plays. While Gross may just be playing Moore up, I kinda doubt it, and if a player has 3 years in a system and knows less than someone in 2 weeks... well, you don't keep them around :P

the UCLA garbage has to do with Moore leaving school due to losing his starting position, then transferring to another school. He lost his starting job because of injury if I recall. Basically, it's irrelevant to the comment made by Catdaddy. People who actually followed his career closely can tell you about it better than I possibly can, but I have never heard him tagged as lazy or stupid from college.

The OP is really just trolling at this point. So I wouldn't worry about it. Moore being the answer or not is irrelevant. It's hard to play worse than Jake has this season. I sincerely hope that Jake turns it around this Sunday, but if he does not, I also hope Fox is willing to sit him down and let Moore into the starting lineup.

    • I read that Pittsburgh is a possibility.  I think of college QB studs who had some form of mental quirk yet tons of talent--but their issue made being a team leader difficult and it led to their demise--going back:  Jamarcus Russell, Art Schlichter, Jeff George, etc. I think people forget that the QB must not only have talent, but they must lead.
    • I wish I knew more details, but the NIL money to 20-year olds combined with easy access to gambling sites is a side effect that these kids may not have considered.  To your point,A famous 2009 Sports Illustrated article titled “How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke” estimated that 78% of retired NFL players go bankrupt or face significant financial stress within two years of leaving the league.  I am guessing that ego and $$$ and the thrill of competition (most pro athletes love competition because they are the winners) makes it a powerful temptation.  Throw in the ease of gambling on your phone which is always in your hand, and I see your point x 10.
    • Freeling got some reps at RT when they gave Moton a rest day--I sorta hope Freeling gets brought along slowly as you describe.  It would be better for him for reasons you provide.  We have a really good problem.
