Cam - Olsen connection

NAS

Recommended Posts

I think this was the main reason our offense struggled to sustain drives. Only 4 catches for 36 yards on 9 targets.

Cam admitted he was rusty, and his timing with his receivers was off.  I fully expected this unlike so many homers who didn’t think game action was necessary especially after surgery.

I look forward to seeing these two re-establish their rhythm.

I don't know. Olsen was already slow before all of the surgeries on his foot.

Now he is super slow and cant jump to catch Cams high passes.

I think Ian Thomas should be out there now, unfortunately.

Thomas can barely get over a rib bruise. Dude is super soft.

You can't sit your starting line up like that and not expect rust. With that said Goff was just as rusty and they still kicked our ass. Our defense was straight trash today in the run game.

Goff sucked most of the game.

Lmao .. no they didn't.

This game was the definition of us beating ourselves.

He can catch. He can still probably one hand catch an accurate ball. But he can’t block if he’s not in the set or we bring another TE in. It’s obvious. Armah needs to get 80% of the snaps from now on.

Watchu talkin bout

He looked rusty as well, and considering how bad our defences was last year, this is a step in the right direction

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
