Canes trade Faulk to Blues for Edmundson

This is pretty funny to me because earlier this month I traded for Edmundson in NHL 19, but was able to extend Faulk for 3 more years and less per year he is currently making. Instead of Faulk, I'll trade Hamilton either the season I'm in or next since he has making a lot per month. I should be able to get a good player and pick for him.

Don’t know much about Bokk but from what I’ve read since the trade he has elite offensive potential and is a RH forward which is exactly what we need. Edmundson is a solid D and will fit right in on our bottom pair. I think I like the trade though I still think what could’ve been with potential trades to Anaheim or Winnipeg (Faulk+ for Kase, Ehlers, even Laine...). I am glad that it’s finally settled though and our roster is coming into form. Only questions now are does Necas or Gauthier get the last forward spot and which D starts on the 3rd pair before TVR comes back (probably Fleury but maybe Bean).

This deal hinges on Bokk.  If he turns out then we won the trade.  If he's trash then STL won. Either way we're not having to pay Faulk's contract.  It's unfortunate, really like and respect the guy.

Well we won the trade...just because we were able to get assets for an expiring contract we were going to lose anyway.
