AEW on TNT

Disclaimer: Before the anti-wrestling patrol makes their "heel" presence known, let me start by saying that, yes, I know wrestling isn't real and yes, I am a grown ass adult still watching it but you know what? I don't care. So please, save yourself from wasting our time and do not post if you do not have anything nice to say.

That said, who watched this last night? I recorded it last night and thought it was a well produced show with lots of intrigue. It was awesome listening to good ole JR and Tony Schiavonne (sp?) Back at the booth once again. I also think it is great that TNT has wrestling once again but thankfully Ted Turner isn't running the show .

Whatcha think?

Loved AEW. Felt different, felt real.

im done with WWE. I’ll not watch NXT. Knowing NXT guys are trying to make it up and what happens to them on main ruined WWE for me. After seeing what happened with Asuka, I quit wwe. Best woman wrestler on the product and they have completely mishandled her.

Week 2 almost in the books and so far I feel as if AEW has won. Monday Night Raw was horrible and I felt like it was just filler until tonight when WWE starts the "Draft." NXT was pretty good though, I will give them that.

Also, I do not understand why they are having a draft because they had a superstar shakeup back in spring but didn't stick with with and decided to just let any superstar jump on any brand. If they actually plan on staying true to the brand split and if they actually utilize their talent the correct way, I might actually enjoy WWE.

It is still early in the "war" but AEW, I feel has a leg up.... Let's just see if they can still be fresh.

I've been watching, as Omega is my personal favorite. I really like the show. It's not perfect, but it's what's needed. Better than NXT due to production vakues (having it at Full Sail just doesn't work), but a bit "too WCW" in terms of production if that makes any sense. Still though, makes me excited to watch a wrestling show since the 3 AM days of Philly era ECW. Love NJPW as well, but something is off about it and I can't put my finger on it.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
