Also odd how the eccentricities of quarterbacks like Gardner Minshew and Ryan Fitzpatrick garner far less criticism if not outright praise from certain people, even though they haven't done jack poo in their careers compared to Cam.

It's just so, so very odd.

Happenstance, sir.

MERE HAPPENSTANCE.

If the doctors didn't think he should attend the game for fear of overexuberance, what makes you think he can start running any time soon?

There is a thread about this. It is on page 3 of the topics list. I said working out. I did not say running.

To me, generational talent is talent you only see once or twice a generation.  Cam is a talent we’ve never seen.  The ability to carry a team as much as he has with as little talent around him as he has is something probably only Brady has done in recent history, and Cam did it without competent coaching while Brady has had arguably the best coach (by hook or by crook) to ever coach.

It has nothing to do with wins and losses.  That’s the argument made by people (or supporters of people) who win because of others.  Is he the best QB ever?  No.  But he’s a talent we’ve never seen and probably won’t for a long time. Generational talent.

Because they don't want him back and doesnt fit the cam is done narrative.

We have a QB that is borderline HOF. But yeah, let's go with the other guy. lol

I must be naive, cuz I just can't believe folks still feel that way about football players.

Because in order to play football in another month, he might have to run. Or he can't play in another month. That was what you said, remember?

How about "Revolutionary"? He did revolutionize the QB position.

He's not. People saying he's going to be coming back after the bye are kidding themselves. Maybe 6 weeks but more 7 or 8.

Why? He is working out now. Why should it take another month?

Which part of this sequence are you having trouble with?

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
