I can point you to a bunch of pre-Mahomes Texas Tech/Air Raid college QB's with video game stats, if you would like.

I am not talking about what he is doing in college, I am talking about him as a future NFL player.

They aren’t running the air raid though. They are essentially running Seán Payton’s offense. They brought in Joe Brady who was a Saints offensive assistant to be the passing game coordinator install their new system and Payton even went so far as to help them with implementing it. He’s in an NFL offense.

I wasn't really trying to imply he was running a gimmick offense, that was an unclear way to communicate that on my part. I was just giving an example of crazy college stats not necessarily being the best predictors of NFL success.

Making a Saints assistant a member of your coaching staff is certainly something I'm in favor of :)

Fair enough. I do agree there should be some concern that he looked pedestrian last year and now in a new offense he is by far the Heisman favorite. Definitely makes you wonder how much is him and how much is the offense. Granted LSU’s previous offense was something that even Ron would call too conservative.

Anybody who thinks Joe Burrow hasn't shown top NFL potential is either biased or has no idea what they are talking about. What he has done this year, in a pro offense, to many of the top teams in the nation should make teams give him a serious look. Not to mention he has the measurables to go with it.
