We are two games behind the last wildcard spot and even then lose all the tiebreakers. We pretty much have to go 5-2 to have a chance and I just don’t see that happening.  Seattle and Minnesota are both looking really strong

We could run the table and get it.

Does RR keep his job at 9-7

Maybe Saints will become a wreck in the second half.  I think we need to have max 1 more loss to make wildcard.

Better hope Brees, Bridgewater and Hill all tear their ACLs the same day. But with our luck, Andrew Luck would come out of retirement and sign with the Saints.

Panthers will choke, not Minnesota, Seattle or the Rams

I believe youre on the wrong fan forum. You come even add Saints to that list, not long ago they choked years in-a-row after starting hot. No one can predict the future, til the math shows 0.0% chance at playoffs, keep pounding!

Like I haven’t heard that before. I really don’t know why people like to tell other fans to go be fans somewhere else. We are not making the damn playoff.

We’re probably not making it but New Orleans showed Sunday that they aren’t bullet proof.

beat Atlanta Sunday and then go down to New Orleans with a chance to be one game back.

no 12-4 team has ever missed the playoffs and only Two 11-5 teams have missed.  10-6 leaves is out with our conference record and literally losing every tie breaker.   I have little faith that we can win out but may as well hold out hope. The off-season is on the horizon and I’d rather enjoy the next few weeks of meaningful football for as long as we can.

New Orleans didn’t show that they weren’t bullet proof. Dan Quinn just showed that he can still get his team to play hard during a bad season unlike Ron last year who beat the Saints in week 17 only because they rested their starters. Ron has not been able to fix the damn run D after 9 weeks. I’m done trusting that man

Your post history is mainly pooping on the panthers, very odd behavior for a panther fan. You have not idea if the panthers are going to the playoffs or not.

538 has us at 8-8 with a 20% chance to make the playoffs.

DVOA has us 9-7 and 22%

Have to beat some good teams.

Yep. With the way the tie breakers will be, we can only lose 1 more game to almost ensure making the playoffs.

Beating Seattle is paramount for tiebreakers if we finish 10-6 which is still going to be tough

20% is about right.  I haven't given up hope, but I'm also realistic.

Got to have the mindset to win every week.  Starting with the Falcons this weekend.

Other than the 49ers debacle, we have been in every game.  Got to find a way to win these close games b/c we are inevitably going to be in more down the stretch.

Watching Allen and the offense on the last drive was promising.  His ability to get past his earlier mistakes and almost lead us back reminded me of Delhomme, which I'm hoping will prove to be a good comparison.  Moore and Olsen both had really good games yesterday.  Moore is quietly becoming a WR1 caliber receiver.

And while Allen is never going to be peak Cam, I do think he can be a QB like Delhomme who is good enough to lead an overwise solid team.  Allen isn't outwardly fiery like Delhomme, but he has proven his ability to put mistakes behind him and not let them cascade.  Outside of the physical requirements, that is one of the most important qualities in a QB.

Younger fans might not remember, but Delhomme had plenty of games where he made head scratching mistakes (even in his best years from 2003- 2005) but you always felt like the team had a chance b/c of his ability to bounce back and be clutch in the 4th Quarter.

That game yesterday was the toughest environment (and not just b/c of the weather) this team is going to have to play in the rest of this year (outside of the Superdome).  It's a small consolation today, but long-term it does bode well that the team showed resilience when everything (including the refs) was against them early on.
