i was never actually a mod in the tinderbox i just put that in my member title to trick people. let this be a lesson to everyone, if you want a job, just lie and say you already have it and eventually it will come

As they say.... dress for the job you want.  Congrats and/or condolences sir

Are you being serious or trying to be funny? That’s kind of mean especially after you just got a promotion that you vowed to clean this forum up. Don’t be a hypocrite.

He didn't want the job.  He said as much repeatedly

Looking forward to seeing if rodeo will actually warn Cooter for trolling non stop in game day threads!

My guess ... no.

if he does overly harsh personal attacks i'll warn him. but you have to be more specific than just the nebulous concept of 'trolling.' his routine he did of ironically posting that every short completion was an amazing throw was funny without breaking rules.

i still crack up every time i think about his "how did he fit it in that window" comment when he hit a massively wide open Olsen

Lol

You are within your right to be annoyed with cooter, but if you genuinely want him to be banned by what he is saying, then you are entirely the reason he is trolling in his particular way.

That's what I meant. Sure, Kyle's first game ... ok, I get it, give it back to the Cam haters and trolls. Do what they did. It was smart. But then he did it again. And again. And he still does it. That's straight up trolling and onnoxious.

I said warned, not banned. And like I posted above ... it was cute for one game. We get it. You don't need to keep doing it.

    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
    • Alright man! We're here for it! Just glad you're keeping the doors open!
    • I think we've seen improvement in Bryce's performance. It still isn't up to world beater status, but in Canales defense, he can say that the limitations of the player were hit. I think he survives that even if Bryce doesn't. Still, I think it's a 50/50 shot for Bryce to make it. QB is one of the toughest jobs to do in the sports world, if not the most, so the failure rate is really high, no matter the pedigree. Heck, Archie Manning gets a lot of credit as a great QB but anyone who saw his career in motion knows he wasn't really that good and he was surrounded by bottom of the bowl players. He did get it figured out with his sons, though. That grandson... maybe.
